As with any problem, the first step to achieving one’s goals is to understand why one fails. Finding the reason helps you to develop appropriate measures to counteract your problem of under-achievement of the goal.

Although it is practically impossible to say what will not happen, awareness of what is happening is the first step to commit to achieving your goals. When you take the step of planning actions toward your goal, prepare for failure.

You’re not into your goals fully.

Try to set aside a few hours a week to work towards a certain goal, and before you know it, you are halfway and fully engaged. Their goals start as dreams, but before we think about what goals we want to achieve, we must be more than dreams. 

When our brain thinks of our goals, we often focus on positive fantasies, but it is difficult to focus on our goals. We deal with all the things that can go wrong and everything we hate about the current situation. What we are focusing on is saying that we are doing the work and nothing else, and no one can stop us from doing it.

You are easily get distracted

Many of us may start with great purpose and vigor, but gradually we are being distracted in other aspects of our lives. Setting priorities and combating distractions is what will separate us. There can be other important things in life, such as family, friends, work and other responsibilities. 

The initial desire to achieve your goals may be enough to kick-start – an action plan, but it will take commitment to maintain motivation to achieve them. Whatever the excuse, the only reason we are not achieving our goals is that the desire to do what was necessary to achieve them is not strong enough.

You can’t set the priorities.

We are forced to stop many times on our way to achieving the goals, because one of our most important steps is to create a reason why we want to do it and achieve it.

In other words, we do not want it to be bad enough to commit ourselves to being a doer, but setting a goal does not mean that we have a spiritual commitment to achieve it. 

I would even say that commitment begins when you start to act and just thinking about it may not be good enough. Instead, do some research if necessary and consider what tasks you need to accomplish to achieve your goal.

When you stuff everything into your day (work, family, social life, etc.), it is easy to put off certain goals. If you do not tackle these obstacles, it will be harder for you to reach your destination on the other side.
