The city of Jodhpur

The blue-painted area of the city is centered around the Mehrangarh Fort. Jodhpur is inextricably linked to this palace that dominates it from above. It is by far the main attraction, the fort dates back to the 16th century, and is protected by a 10 km long wall.

Forte Mehrangarh

Jaswant Thada

The beautiful memorial in white marble, dedicated to Maharaja Jasmant Singh II and his ancestors. Built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. A quiet and peaceful place with a splendid view of the fort. You can get there with a 10-minute walk from the fort.

Clock Tower

The clock tower is the landmark of the city, surrounded by the bustling and chaotic Sardar Market, where you can buy fruit and vegetables, sweets, and local handicrafts. A short distance from the tower is the entrance to the old city, quieter than the east of Jodhpur, a series of narrow streets filled with shops, hotels, and restaurants.

Umaid Bahwan Palace

Away from the city center, it is also called Chittar Palace. The name is due to the place of origin of the stone used in its construction. Divided into several parts, museum, hotel, and home where the successors of the maharaja still live.

Toorji ka jhalra
