When you click on the arrow icon you will get a drop-down menu there you will find the “edit subject” option. Click on it to open the editing window.
  • Then click on the subject section and you can edit the subject from there. You can edit the existing subject, type a new one, or erase it completely.

Changing the subject in the thread email prevents confusion. A thread email is when one or more users are replying to the same subject. It is suitable if you change the subject line in the thread email when the topic gets changed during conversations.

It is a pretty easy thing to do when you are replying. Most Gmail users click on the reply button to send their messages. But if you need to change the subject of the thread email, look for the arrow icon.
