Twitter, the famous micro-blogging and social media website, today announced that it would be rolling out its new tweet scheduling feature as part of an “experiment” today that can only be accessed through the Twitter’s web app.
With this feature, one can schedule the content of their tweet beforehand for a specified date and time. The introduction of this feature would be a dream come true for a lot of active twitter users!
This feature will help you schedule the tweets according to your needs and requirement and make your tweeting experience even more convenient than it already is.
Benefits Of The New Tweet Scheduling Feature:
- It will come in handy for a company that wants to prep the tweets for a product launch.
- It will be beneficial for news announcements.
- It will be beneficial for the people who require publishing time-bound tweets, say, advertisements.
- It will be time-saving.
Earlier, the same features were available through a third-party app like TweetDeck or Buffer. Twitter felt the need and necessity of this feature on Twitter, and hence, it can now be used through Twitter’s web app itself.
If You Are Part Of The Experiment, You Will Have To Follow A Process In Order To Schedule Your Tweets. The Steps Are As Follows:
- Log in to your Twitter account on your web app.
- Click on the “Tweet” button.
- Compose your tweet in the given space.
- Click on the three dots (the additional options), right beside the emoticons icon.
- Click on “Schedule Tweet.”
- Select the date and time in the pop-up dialogue box.
- Click on “Tweet.”
Once you complete the above steps, your tweet would automatically be posted from your account on the specified date and time.
When Will The “Scheduling Tweet” Feature Be Made Available To All The Users?
The company has yet not made it clear as to how many people would be part of this experiment as part of Twitter’s test and is expected to be on a random basis. Twitter goes on to say that “this is just an experiment,” which infers that there is no way to know as to when it will be available to all the users.
The feature will initially be available only on its web app and is expected to be made available in the mobile app soon after it. If the feature is soon introduced to the mobile app, it will come in handy to the users as the Tweetdeck’s scheduling feature could only be used on a web browser.
Twitter is known for its user-friendly interface and ever-dynamic features to assist the users in having a seamless tweeting experience. The introduction of the “Scheduling Tweet” feature in the app would be a revolutionary step to help different classes of users have an even better “tweeting session.”
It’s a matter of time, and we will be able to use this feature on both our web and mobile apps!
