Coronavirus was first known to people during the 1960s. As of today, there is no full-proof evidence as to where this virus comes from.
The name “Coronavirus” is assigned to this virus because of its “crown-like” shape. It is now proved that this virus can be infectious to both humans and animals.
It is pertinent to mention here that Coronavirus is capable of spreading in the same manner as cold-causing viruses.
The various means by which Coronavirus can spread include sneezing, coughing, touching the surface that has come in contact with the already infected person, etc.
So, which virus is responsible for spreading illness in the city of Wuhan, China, that is spreading to other nations as well? Here is the answer:
It is a type of virus, a novel Coronavirus. This virus belongs to the family of Coronavirus, which is new and has never been identified before.
It is pertinent to mention here that this novel Contravirus, like any other Coronavirus, originates from an animal.
It is noted that most of the people who were initially infected by this Coronavirus worked at the seafood sales market located in Huanan, the center of Wuhan city. In addition to this, live, and freshly slaughtered animals were sold in this market.
It is a fact that most of the viruses that spread and trouble the humans originate from animals itself. To quote an example, Flu, and Ebola.
Why Is The Coronavirus Originated In Wuhan City Spreading To Other Nations?
It is essential to know that this novel Coronavirus, like any other Coronavirus, transmits from one person to another. In addition to this, the National Health Commission of China has confirmed that this virus is contagious.
Moreover, it advised people to stay in their homes to avoid any further human contact. The statistics state that as of 30th January 2020, over 135 people have died, and the Chinese authorities have confirmed over 6000 cases of people being infected with Coronavirus.
It is not only the City of Wuhan that is under threat of this novel Coronavirus. The other cities of China, such as Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing, Tianjin, and other municipalities, are also being subjected to the cases of deaths due to Coronavirus.
It is pertinent to mention here that the number of people being infected by this virus has tripled in the past week. In addition to this, people traveling from China to other countries, and this virus being contagious in nature, has caused the virus to spread outside China as well.
Cases of people being infected by this virus have also been confirmed in Macau, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, United States, Singapore, Nepal, India, and Vietnam.

The WHO experts conducted a study at the Imperial College of London, which states that there might be as many as 100,000 cases of infection due to this novel Coronavirus that originated from the Wuhan city in China. Even putting the uncertainties aside, there can be as many as 40,000 such cases.
We Can Expect A Vaccine To Combat This Novel Coronavirus Anytime Soon!
Due to the presence of a vaccine to combat the SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) and the advancement of technology in today’s time, the process of developing a vaccine to combat this novel Coronavirus will quicken.
Dr. Anthony Faucy working in the capacity of a director at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) stated in an interview with JAMA, a medical journal, that he is confident that they will, within a period of three months or less, be able to start the phase 1 trial of the Coronavirus vaccine.
He further added that if they succeed, it would be the record speed pertaining to this type of trial. Faucy went on to mention that an upcoming couple of weeks are going to be crucial and critical.
He supported the statement by saying that the Coronavirus may either peak and return to the downturn or is going to result in a global outbreak on a large scale.
“The next four weeks to five weeks are going to be critical,” Faucy said during the JAMA interview. “It’s either going to start peaking and going on a downturn, or it’s going to explode into a global outbreak.”
The World Health Organization’s Emergency Committee said it would meet again on Thursday to discuss whether the outbreak is a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.
What Are The Common Symptoms Pertaining To This Novel Coronavirus Infection?
Amongst many common symptoms such as the runny nose, sore throat, coughing, and regular fever, Coronavirus has attached to other symptoms as well.
These symptoms are upper respiratory infection, the problem in breathing, and other respiratory problems. People are advised to go through lab tests if any of the above-mentioned symptoms are seen.
The tests may include throat and nose culture, amongst other blood tests. It is pertinent to mention here that if this novel Coronavirus can cause pneumonia if the virus spreads to the lower respiratory tract. One must take extra care of themselves during this time.

- One must properly wash their hands with warm water and soap and regularly use a hand sanitizer.
- One must not touch their eyes, mouth, and nose with their hands and fingers unless thoroughly washed.

- One must drink fluids in a good amount.
