Just like every year, the Game Awards 2019 was a grand event. It was one of the most flashy Game Awards celebrations that have been organized to date. Gaming enthusiasts know that every year, this celebration also doubles as a keynote of E3 style, which is loaded with announcements. 2019 was no exception as it saw the unveiling of the Xbox series of Microsoft. The Xbox Series X of Microsoft was revealed at the 2019 edition of the Game Awards besides the very first title of PlayStation 5. In addition to that, trailers and news for big games were also released, such as League of Legends, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Cyberpunk 2077.

The 2019 edition of the Game Awards kicked off with a definite bang. Phil Spencer, the boss of Xbox, took the stage to reveal the all-new Xbox. Previously, this project was known as Project Scarlett. Now, it is known as the Xbox Series X, which is all set to launch the next holiday season. This new version will allow the users to use it horizontally, and it also comes with a brand-new controller.

Besides a new console, it has also been revealed by Microsoft that its first-party game for Series X will be a sequel to Hellblade from Ninja Theory. The sequel is expected to be as uncomfortable and dark as the original version. Another news that was revealed at this year’s Game Awards was a sequel to the best RPGs of the style of Final Fantasy. Bravely Default II was also announced by Square Enix, which is a sequel to the Nintendo 3DS game. This game will also be launched next year on the Nintendo Switch.

With all these new developments on the horizon, PlayStation 5 did not want to be outdone. Therefore, at the event, an announcement was made regarding a new game that will be launched on the next console of Sony from Gearbox. The PUBG team also announced the next release in the form of Prologue. That said, not a lot of details have been revealed regarding this new introduction for now. This is a huge mystery that has left PUBG lovers around the world, curious. The company shared that with Prologue, they have decided to embark on a journey towards building new interactions and technologies that will assist in turning ideas into reality.

Besides these major announcements, gamers also got to know about many new games that will be launched in the upcoming year. Some of them include Convergence, Ruined King, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy VII, and Cyberpunk 2077. In addition to that, the latest game of Fast & Furious will also be released. Contrary to the previous Fast & Furious games, the current one will not be a racer game. It is named Crossroads and is a game that is based on team action built around heists. Players will be able to enjoy this game on Xbox One, PS4, and PC from May 2020.
