Ten teams are still in the title contention of Bundesliga after Gameweek 9. The difference in points between the first ranked side and the 10th ranked side is only 5 at this moment. Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga title consecutively in the last 7 seasons from the 2012-13 campaign. Borussia Dortmund were the Champions in 2010-11 and 2011-12 season. So, it can be easily concluded that Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have dominated the Bundesliga in the last few seasons.

However, the situation of the League table in Bundesliga is not the same in this season. Borussia Monchengladbach is currently at the top of the table with 19 points in 9 matches so far. They were defeated by two teams including RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund and dropped two points against FC Schalke 04. Otherwise, they collected three points from their remaining six encounters in this season.

Bayern Munich is now in the second position in the table as they are only one point behind the League leaders Borussia Monchengladbach. Bayern Munich has drawn three matches this season against Augsburg, RB Leipzig, and Hertha BSC. On the other hand, they have been defeated by Hoffenheim a few weeks ago. However, they are still the favorites to win the Bundesliga this season.

Freiburg is at the third position in the League table with 17 points in 9 matches so far. They have been defeated by FC Koln and FC Union Berlin so far. On the other hand, they have dropped two points in two encounters including the matches against Borussia Dortmund and Augsburg. They have won 5 out of 9 matches so far and emerged as one of the top teams in the Bundesliga this season.

Wolfsburg is at the fourth position with the same points as Freiburg after the 9th game week. They are behind Freiburg because of lesser goal difference. Wolfsburg is still unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season. They have won 4 matches and drawn 5 matches so far. It has been quite an impressive season for them and they would like to extend their unbeaten run in the next few matches.

Borussia Dortmund is at the fifth position in the League table with 16 points in 9 matches so far. They have won 4 matches and dropped two points on 4 occasions. The only defeat this season has come against Union Berlin a few weeks back. They are only three points behind the league leaders and still a top contender in winning the title this season.

RB Leipzig is at the sixth position in the table as they have collected 15 points in 9 matches. RB Leipzig has started the season brilliantly but at this moment, they are losing their way. In the previous match also they have been defeated by Freiburg. The team management of RB Leipzig will try to come back into winning ways from the next match.

FC Schalke 04 is at seventh position in the League table with the same number of points as RB Leipzig. Though, they are behind RB Leipzig because of lesser goal difference. After losing against Bayern Munich in the second match of the season, Schalke has won quite a few matches in a row. However, Schalke has not been able to secure a win in the last two matches.

Bayer Leverkusen, Frankfurt, and Hoffenheim are also in the title race with 14 points in 9 matches so far. They are only 5 points behind the League leaders and some results in favor of them might close the gap in the next few weeks.

So, we can certainly say that the competition is getting more intensified in the Bundesliga this season and the upcoming weeks are going to be really interesting.
